Stocks-markets-HongKong-China-close Hong Kong stocks reopen with sharp losses
Hong Kong, Oct 2 :Hong Kong stocks ended sharply lower on Tuesday as investors returned from a long weekend to data indicating Chinese manufacturing activity slowed last month.
The Hang Seng Index sank 2.38 percent, or 662.14 points, to close at 27,126.38.
Mainland Chinese markets remained closed for a public holiday Tuesday.
