Govt to provide one window operations to facilitate investors: President
President Dr Arif Alvi says efficient investment structure is being provided in Pakistan to attract foreign investors including Pakistani expatriates.
Addressing Pakistani community in Makkah, he said that the procedural delays are being streamlined into a one window operation to facilitate investors.
The President appreciated the role of Pakistani community abroad in Pakistan’s economy and earning the valuable foreign exchange for their country. He also underlined the need for using the banking channels for sending their hard earned money to Pakistan so that it can become a stimulus in country’s economy.
Replying to question on the Pak- Saudi economic opportunities, Dr Arif Alvi said Saudi Arabia has always been supportive to Pakistan and helped Pakistan in difficult times.
He said the basis of Pak- Saudi long-term relations is the respect between the two people and love for the most sacred places of Muslims in Makkah and Madina.
The President said there is a change in the Saudi market from demand of unskilled labour to skilled working class and we need to tap that opportunity.
He said overseas Pakistanis are Ambassadors of goodwill and an asset for their country and we will definitely involve them in the development process and take advantage of their experience.
The President took notes of some of the issues raised by the community members and promised to take up the matter with the relevant quarters in Pakistan.
