Basant to be celebrated in Lahore in February
Lahore: Punjab Minister for Information Fayyazul Hassan Chohan on Tuesday said that the provincial government had decided to allow Basant celebrations in Lahore.
Speaking at a news conference, he said that the Basant was a cultural festival of Lahore through which had a business billions of rupees.
The minister said that the cultural circles of Lahore had been asking to celebrate Basant festival. “The festival creates enormous economic activity and is a source of promoting tourism.” Chohan said Basant will be celebrated in Lahore in the second week of February.
