PML-N leader says no leadership crises in party


Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) leader Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday said that PML-N was not lack leadership.  Talking to journalists here, Ahsan Iqbal said that the PTI-led setup cannot be run for a long period of time.  He termed Imran Khan as an “artificial prime minister”. Ahsan Iqbal said that the NAB court’s verdict of against the former premier Nawaz Sharif was not impact on party’s popularity. “Sharif has been declared owner of the company under mere assumptions,” former minister held.   —————————————————— Pak to play constructive role on Afghanistan Islamabad: Pakistan is to play a constructive role to promote harmony and normalcy in Afghanistan, Foreign office spokesperson Dr Mohammed Faisal said Thursday. At his weekly media talks in Islamabad, the spokesperson said that the Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had completed a positive visit to Sino, Afghanistan, Iran and Moscow and it helps generate consensus within the stakeholders to advance the normalcy in Afghanistan. Dr Faisal said the visit was part of government’s policy to strengthen relations with important actors of the world. He said the Foreign Minister was to also visit Qatar in this regard. The spokesperson said Pakistan’s position to give normalcy a chance in Afghanistan has become the basis for the world consensus. Dr Faisal said recent developments in Afghanistan include “Moscow Format Consultations”, “Geneva conference on Afghanistan” and the “Abu Dhabi Meeting” had led to widely acknowledged pact. He said the new development in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s important role as facilitator, has provided a significant chance to also strengthen bilateral knots with other players to promote trade, economic and other linkages. Dr Faisal categorically stated that India had no role to play in Afghanistan.
