Shehbaz Sharif chairs PAC meeting

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) President Shehbaz Sharif on Friday chaired the first meeting of the parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC). Shehbaz Sharif was confirmed as the chairman of the parliamentary body on December 22, after months of debate between the ruling party and the PML-N. The PAC, as an apex parliamentary body, oversees the government’s audit of revenue and expenditure. Sharif had assured the house that he would make sure that the conflict of interest question does not arise.
