Senate vote horse traded: Shehbaz Sharif
Islamabad: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Mian Shehbaz Sharif said that 14 votes of the opposition which were “horse-traded” Thursday, due to which Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani survived the no-confidence motion, have damaged the democracy but government has faced defeat in the court of public.
Earlier, the joint opposition meeting was held in which the issue pertaining to votes of 14 members and the future course of action were taken into consideration after the failure of the no-confidence motion against Sadiq Sanjrani.
Talking to media representatives after the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif expressed that the ‘selected‘ government won by horse-trading which has damaged the democracy in Pakistan. PML-N President asserted that opposition in the meeting has decided to expose the dishonest senators, who sold their conscience today, in front of the masses in next All Parties Conference.
