Pakistan passing through testing times: Rehman Malik

Islamabad: PPP senior leader and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Senator A. Rehman Malik has expressed that Pakistan is passing through testing times and we need unity over the national issues among each other.

In his speech in the Senate of Pakistan, Senator A. Rehman Malik said that Indian PM Narendra Modi is hurling threats for Pakistan at all possible fronts and in such a situation the government has to predict the situation and to frame a counter-strategy while taking the opposition into confidence.

He said, “The Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC) and working boundary are continuously targeting civilian populations with artillery fire and automatic weapons, which is highly condemnable and sheer violation of international human rights and the UN laws.”

He said that he been exposing in his articles, speeches and books about the anti-mind set of PM Modi against Indian Muslims and Kashmiris which PM Modi demonstrated by revoking the special status of Kashmir, imposing the longest curfew, allowing construction of temple on the place of Babri Masjid and now by bringing discriminatory Citizenship Amendment Act-2019. He said that PM Modi has the anti-Pakistan mindset and suffering from war hysteria which has to be exposed before the world and countered at all fronts. He said that there is an agreement between RSS and PM Modi to implement the extremist ideology of RSS which PM Modi is following. He said he always calls PM Modi as the Chief Terrorist.

Senator A. Rehman Malik urged the government to call All Parties Conference (APC) and Joint Session of Parliament on all national issues to discuss and formulate a National Action Plan on Kashmir, Foreign Policy and compact strategy on country current deteriorated economy. He added ‘’PM, Minister for Interior, Defence and Foreign Affairs should attend the conference and appraise it on all national issues’’. He questioned what our national security plan is, foreign strategy and what measures the government is taking to cope up with economic challenges. He said that it is the responsibility of the government to preempt the situation, foresee the challenges and take the opposition into confidence on all national issues.

Senator A. Rehman Malik said that if today Iraq was attacked in Iraq and tomorrow Pakistan can be challenged and threatened so what measures government has been taking. He said that we should be vigilant at both Eastern and Western border and we cannot expect any positivity from President Ashraf Ghani. He said that it was the PPP government that gave the country ‘Drone Technology’ enabling us of countering and stopping any Drone attack and can strike within a range of 6000 miles in enemy country. He said that Modi must know that Pakistan’s defence is invincible and Pakistan can counter and will surely respond to any aggression by him.
