Honoured to inaugurate Pakistan Mega Leather Show: Ambassador Stefano Pontecorvo

Lahore: Italy ambassador to Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo Monday said he was honoured to inaugurate the 2020 Pakistan Mega Leather Show in Expo Lahore.

“The exhibition is growing year after year, reflecting the strength and export potential of the leather and footwear sector in Pakistan,” he said after the inauguration.

The envoy said he spoke to Italian exhibitors at the show. “An increasing number of Italian companies are participating and business is on the rise. Estimates give an average +18/20% year over year 2018/2019. Good news. Our efforts are paying off and are mutually beneficial,” he added.

Pakistan Mega Leather Show features a display of products like leather footwear, leather garments, leather gloves/products, tanning/footwear machinery, chemicals for the tannery and services, and much more.

Ambassador Pontecorvo earlier held a meeting with Punjab Governor Chauhdry Mohammed Sarwar. He said the two friendly countries had been coming even closer in the recent years.
