PPP reacts to the State Bank report
Islamabad: Secretary General Pakistan People’s Party Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari has said that the State Bank report has revealed that the government’s claims about economy and good governance are totally false.
Reacting to the report of State Bank, Mr. Bukhari said that report says that the inflation will remain 12 percent which is very high. PPP government had increased the wheat support price for growers which had resulted in self-sufficiency in wheat produce. In contrast growers community is ruined and it has become difficult for them to keep growing crops which they will have to sell cheap thus the agriculture sector is falling into a crisis.
He said that handing over Pakistani economy to international financial institutions has caused hardship for the people of Pakistan. “Now people want to get rid of this regime in which people cannot pay their utility bills,” he concluded.
