Italy committed to enhance trade, tourism ties with Pakistan: Ambassador Stefano Pontecorvo
Karachi: Italy’s Ambassador to Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo Saturday said Italy was committed to enhance trade and tourism ties with Pakistan.
In a meeting with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail at Governor’s House here, the Italian envoy said that Pak-Italy bilateral relations were strengthening with the passage of time,He said Pakistan had a tremendous potential in the tourism and the trade sectors and both Italy and Pakistan can benefit by enhancing ties.
During the meeting bilateral trade and diplomatic relations, further increase in bilateral trade, promotion of tourism and other issues of bilateral trade were discussed, said an official statement.
The Sindh Governor said Pakistan was a beautiful and attractive tourist destination.
He said steps were being taken to explore tourism of the country to the world as Pakistan also
have unique standing in climbing and high mountains including K-2 were also in Pakistan.
He said there were a lot of investment opportunities available in Karachi which is the economic hub of the country and investors from Italy and take benefit of it.
Italy’s Consul General in Karachi Anna Ruffino was also present during the meeting.
