NAB chairman should clarify, why ministers representing NAB: Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar

Islamabad: Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, the spokesperson Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that whenever Chairman PPP announces movement against government, the NAB sends a notice to him.

Senator Kholhar said that these notices will not be able to stop PPP from launching a movement against the government. Chairman NAB should clarify that why the federal ministers are representing the NAB instead of NAB’s spokesman.

He said that Chairman Bilawal has never held a public office. NAB should summon the people who created flour and sugar crisis and the people who embezzled public money in BRT project, Mala Jabba and other projects in KP like fake tree plantation drive. Now even international institutions are reporting that there is political victimisation in Pakistan.

Senator Khokhar said that government does not have anything to show its performance. The response of Chairman Bilawal’s talk with media today by Firdous Ashiq Awan and Shahzad Akbar has no relevance with facts. Why these ministers have come out in support of NAB, he asked. Former Chief Justice of Pakistan is on the record to have said that NAB is no more impartial. Chairman Bilawal is innocent and the Chief Justice had said so but the government ministers are misguiding people.

Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said that when press could not be crushed during Martial Law how this government can strangle media voice, he asked. We condemn ban on advertisements for the newspaper of Quaid-e-Azam and PPP will continue to raise its voice for media, he concluded.
