Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s vision a beacon of light for Pakistan: Syed Zahid Abbas Shah

Frankfurt: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Germany President Syed Zahid Abbas Shah Saturday said that PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s vision was a beacon of light for Pakistan.

In a message on Bhutto’s death anniversary, being observed today (Saturday), Syed Zahid Abbas Shah said leaders like Bhutto are a gift of God for any nation.

“Bhutto gave voice to the voiceless. He sacrificed life for democracy. His vision is still the guiding force for the PPP,” Syed Zahid Abbas Shah said.

The PPP leader said Bhutto’s death anniversary reminds the nation of his great sacrifice. “Bhutto gave life but did not compromise on principles. He lives on in the hearts of millions of people,” the PPP veteran said.

Syed Zahid Abbas Shah said there was no other person in the world who was remembered in this grand manner.

He said it was a message to all those people who were hoping that after his judicial assassination no one would ever remember the great leader.

“Physically Zulfikar Ali Bhutto is not with us today, but he lives in the heart of every single Pakistani. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Pakistan People’s Party are perpetual as with the passage of time the love for both has increased manifold,” Syed Zahid Abbas Shah said.

He said that no one including the family members visited the grave of the dictator who was behind the judicial assassination.

“This is an indirect message for all those who are striving to weaken Pakistan People’s Party even today through the character assassination of the party leaders,” he warned.

He said people’s love for the party could only be diminish when there was any other leader of the calibre of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari or Asif Ali Zardari.
