Beijing: Amid further containment of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) epidemic, China is powering ahead in returning to work and resuming business and production. 

The following are the latest facts and figures:–Beijing has rolled out policies to support businesses to resume work while suspending resumption in venues with poor ventilation and crowds, local authorities said Saturday.
Venues with poor ventilation and prone to draw large crowds such as performance venues, clubs, internet cafes, theaters, and museums are required to suspend work resumption. Large sports events and exhibitions are also required to be suspended.–North China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region planned to invest 505.9 billion yuan (about 71.54 billion U.S. dollars) in 3,109 major construction projects this year, according to regional authorities.These projects cover urban infrastructure, energy, transportation, logistics and other fields, with a total investment of 2.6 trillion yuan.
A total of 1,063 major projects in the region have resumed operations so far.

–The China-Europe freight trains made a total of 1,941 trips in the first quarter of 2020, said an official with the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.In Q1, the China-Europe freight trains transported 174,000 TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) of freight, up 18 percent year on year.
On April 14, a China-Europe freight train from Wuhan, the hardest-hit city by COVID-19 in China, arrived in the western German city of Duisburg. By far, all Chinese cities operating the trains have resumed outbound transport.
