China issues model contract to regulate off-campus training services
Beijing: China’s education and market regulation authorities have jointly issued a model contract for off-campus training services for primary and secondary school students, according to information released by the Ministry of Education on Wednesday.
As the first of its kind to be applied nationwide, the model contract consists of 11 clauses that give full consideration to the rights and liabilities of parties involved in the training process.
Apart from training content, requirements, and dispute settlements, the model contract contains detailed provisions on fee collection and refunding, as well as liabilities for breach of contract.
It is expected to regulate the signing and performance of such contracts and protect the legitimate rights and interests of persons concerned, according to the ministry.
