PPP demonstration against federal government’s efforts to separate Karachi from Sindh

Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party held a demonstration against PTI-led government’s intention to separate Karachi from Sindh outside press club Islamabad. Dr. Nafisa Shah, Ajiz Dhamra, Hasan Murtaza, Faisal Karim Kundi led the demonstration participated by hundreds of PPP workers. This demonstration was organised by the PPP Islamabad.

On the occasion the PPP leaders addressing the demonstrators said that Imran Khan’s government cannot blackmail PPP as federal government or anyone else has the authority to divide Sindh province. Sindh was the province which passed the resolution for Pakistan first and Sindh is the province which can save Pakistan. They said that no effort to divide Sindh will be tolerated. The federal government is conspiring to dismember the country.

Dr. Nafisa Shah said that in this demonstration people from all over Pakistan are participating. PPP has given national leaders to Pakistan like Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto who offered supreme sacrifices to save the federation. She said that PPP represents federation and it will not tolerate any conspiracy against Sindh or the federation.

She said that PPP has always fought for human right and will protest against the violation of human rights. Ajiz Dhamra said that the federal government is talking unconstitutionally regarding Karachi as earlier the MQM had talked about no one. He said that anybody who talks about the division of Sindh province should be ashamed.

Faisal Karim Kundi said that PPP gave the constitution to this government and today, the current government is trying to dismember Pakistan but PPP will resist and will not allow that. Hassan Murtaza, addressing the demonstrators said that if the federal government tries to undermine any unit of the federation then the federation will become weak and the PPP condemns these efforts.

The PPP workers have always protected the federation and will continue to do so. He said that the people who had brought MQM have now brought PTI. Nargis Faiz Malik said that the people who dream of usurping Karachi will be ashamed in front of the people of Pakistan.

The demonstration was also attended by Nazir Dhoki, Nawabzada Iftikhar, Javed Ayub, Bazil Naqvi, Shaheen Kausar Dar, Sibtul Hassan Bukhari, Shakeel Abbasi, Shafqat Abbasi, Sajjad Ali Mangi, Iftikhar Shehzada, Sadaf Murtaza, Nida Nazir, Khalid Dar, Zubaida Rao, Osho Nasir and Tabinda Chauhan.
