PPP rejects government’s inquiry committee to probe Broadsheet issue
Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has rejected the formation of inquiry committee headed by the former Justice Shaikh Azmat Saeed.
Secretary General PPP, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari in a statement said that the PPP rejects the committee formed by the government for probe into the issue of Broadsheet scandal headed by former Justice Shaikh Azmat Saeed. This committee is to misguide people of Pakistan and exposes the mala fide intent of the government. The purpose of this committee is to accuse the opposition and the previous governments.
Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said that Shaikh Azmat Saeed was prosecutor National Accountability Bureau and has been a member of board of directors of Shaukat Khanum hospital. Hence, the PPP expresses strong reservations on this inquiry committee. The Broadsheet scandal is a very serious issue and this should be probed with transparency.
