Kashmir solidarity day observed by Senator Rehman malik
Islamabad: A simple but impressive event was organized in a novel manner on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day here on Friday at the residence of Senator A. Rehman Malik which was attended by Huriyyat leaders Abdul Hameed Lone, Syed Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Dr. Mujahid Gilani, Raja Khadim Hussain, Muhammad Shafi Dar, Zahid, Abid Khan Abbasi and also by PPP leader from Rawalpindi Chaudhary Iftikhar Ahmed and Advocate Tanvir Ahmed and others. The event commenced with a beautiful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and prayers for the freedom of Kashmir and rich tribute was paid to the Kashmiri martyrs.
Addressing the event, Senator A. Rehman Malik said that Pakistani nation expresses solidarity with the people of Kashmir and the day is aimed at renewing our resolve towards the supreme cause of Kashmir which is freedom. He said that today we have gathered to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri brothers and sisters and condemn the Indian atrocities and expose PM Narendra Modi’s brutalities. He said that we fully support the struggle of the Kashmiri people for their undeniable right to self-determination under the UN resolutions. He said that Kashmiris are the most oppressed and helpless nation in the world who are subjected to Indian brutalities for the last seven decades. He urged the government to stand firmly with full power by Kashmiris the way Quaid-e-Azam and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto stood with them and had highlighted their case internationally.
Senator Rehman Malik said that today our people need to have the same spirit and strength which was expressed by tribal warriors who got liberated in Kashmir with their bravery and Jazeba-e-Emani (faith) in 1947. He said that today is the 550th darkest day of Indian brutal curfew, oppression, and barbarism in Kashmir yet the world including United Nations and OIC have turned their eyes blind over the plight of the most oppressed nation in the world. He said sadly world is silent on the barbarism of Narendra Modi who is the most oppressive ruler in the world. He said that he has always called Modi the Chief of terrorists as Indian forces have intensified atrocities in occupied Kashmir under him.
Senator Rehman Malik said that today the Indian Occupied Kashmir is turned into the world’s largest jail and torch cell with the longest curfew in history. He expressed that he was shocked while listening to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech who was still talking about NRO on the soil of Kashmir and that today on Kashmir Solidarity Day adding Prime Minister should have talked only about Kashmir and Modi’s crimes against humanity on this day instead of playing politics. He added that it is the responsibility of the Prime Minister of the country to have united the entire nation on the Kashmir issue by calling an All Parties Conference on one agenda of Kashmir issue on this day. He said that this way a very strong message could have sent across the world. But, unfortunately, instead of unity, the Prime Minister is talking about division today, he added.
He said that the Prime Minister should tell the nation what he has done so far on Kashmir as during his era Modi could successfully manage the scraping the Special Status of Kashmir, Amendments in Domicile Law, Inhabitation by RSS and Hindu Extremists in the valley, and the imposition of unceasing and indefinitely long curfew in the valley of Kashmir. What did Prime Minister Imran and his government do in response to Modi’s anti-Kashmir measures, asked Senator Rehman Malik. He said that the international community, especially the United Nations, has failed to deliver justice to the oppressed people of Kashmir.
Senator Rehman Malik urged that it is time to expose Indian atrocities and crimes against humanity to the world as Prime Minister Modi is converting the majority of Muslims in Kashmir into a minority under a well thought out plan. He said that PM Modi abolished the special status of Kashmir and amended the domicile law through a free-plan strategy and launched fake and malicious propaganda against Pakistan which was recently exposed by Disinfolab EU. He added that RSS and Hindu extremists are being resettled in Kashmir Valley to eliminate Muslim majority. He said that Commission for Human Rights in its report has disclosed that from January 1989 till 31st January 2018, 94,644 innocent Kashmiris have been killed, 7,099 were killed in custody, 11,042 women were gang-raped and 7,485 were injured by pellets in Kashmir by Indian Forces.
Senator A. Rehman Malik expressed that it is a matter of grave concern that our government has not yet gone to the UN and the International Court of Justice against any move by India. He said that today on this special day, he once again demands from Prime Minister Imran Khan to go to the International Court of Justice against Modi’s atrocities and immediately file a case against Indian atrocities in the United Nations. He urged the UN to break its silence and take note of human rights violations and Modi’s atrocities in Indian Occupied Kashmir. He said that UN should abide by its Security Council resolutions and give Kashmiris the right to self-determination. He said that the blood of thousands of brave martyrs of Kashmir will never go waste and defeat is the destiny of India and its extremist Primer Narendra Modi.
Senator A. Rehman Malik urged that let’s pledge today that we will continue our struggle till the freedom of Kashmir. He said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah has termed Kashmir as the lifeblood of Pakistan. He said Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had given new-life to the Kashmir cause and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had declared February 5 a public holiday to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
Senator Rehman Malik said, “if the government does not go to the International Court of Justice, I will go myself.” He said that the world would have cried if the barbarism that Modi is committing was elsewhere in the world but the world is silent over Kashmir as today our own Muslim brothers are also sleeping and doing nothing for the people of Kashmir. He said that he has dedicated his life to the cause of Kashmir and I have written a book “Kashmir Bleeding” on the plight of Kashmiris because of Indian atrocities and have also exposed Modi’s true face before the world in his book “Modi’s War Doctrine”. He showed his commitment to continue his struggle for the people of Kashmir at all forums.
Senior Leader, All Parties Huriyyat Conference (APHC), Abdul Hameed Lone thanked Senator A. Rehman Malik for organizing the event to express solidarity with Kashmiris and highlighting the issue at all forums. He said that to implement the resolution, a UN referendum commission should be set up and a fact-finding mission should be sent to Kashmir to look into the human rights violations there. He said that Indian forces have orphaned 170,000 children, but the international community is not paying the attention it needs. Syed Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Dr. Mujahid Gilani, Raja Khadim Hussain, Muhammad Shafi Dar, Zahid, and Abid Khan Abbasi also addressed the event and highlighted Indian forces brutalities in Indian Occupied Kashmir. They all applauded Senator A. Rehman Malik for his efforts, support, and struggle for the people of Kashmir. At the end of the event, Senator A. Rehman Malik distributed among the participants his books “Bleeding Kashmir and Modi’s War Doctrine”
