Pakistan receives fresh doses of Chinese vaccines
Islamabad: Pakistan on Wednesday received a consignment of 500,000 doses of Sinopharm Vaccine from China.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Dr Faisal Sultan received the vaccine at Noor Khan Airbase.
“We are grateful to the Chinese government for its support, which has always stood by Pakistan in difficult times,” he said.
Dr. Faisal Sultan said that saving the lives of the people is our first priority. The government is fulfilling its promise by ensuring uninterrupted supply of vaccines.
He said that 500,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine have reached Pakistan and the second consignment will arrive soon adding that 800,000 doses of corona vaccine have been used in the country so far. Earlier Pakistan received first batch of 60,000 doses of anti Covid CanSino vaccine from China yesterday.
