PPP announces to challenge State Bank ordinance: Bilawal Bhutto
Jacobabad: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday while announcing to challenge ordinance regarding State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in the court said that it would be an attack on national sovereignty, if the central bank operates at the behest of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Talking to media in Jacobabad on Friday, he said that the government was handing over its national institutions to others and also declared the incumbent government real reason for economic crisis.
“There is historic unemployment in the country due to PTI-IMF deal, he said and added two finance ministers have been changed during the past three years.
Alleging the government of handing over the country to the IMF, the PPP chairman said that it will be an attack on national sovereignty, if the central bank is operated at the behest of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and his party will challenge the ordinance on the central bank in the court.
Bilawal went on to say that the 2018 elections were rigged all over the country which is still going and attempts have been made to elect a representatives, adding that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should play a role where election elections were rigged and the Commission should ensure transparency in the elections across the country like Daska.
He further added that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and other institutions were being used against the opposition, adding that the PPP has had the same stance on NAB but other parties have changed their policy on the anti-graft watchdog depending on the situation. “NAB and economy cannot go hand in hand,” he added.
