Zardari condoles the death of IA Rehman

Islamabad: Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep sorrow and shock over the demise of human rights activist IA Rehman and said that the country and the nation have lost a man who struggled for democracy and humanity.

He was a strong voice for the rights of the people. IA Rehman was an acclaimed journalist who spoke on democracy and people’s rights with his pen.

Today, with the demise of IA Rehman, the effective voice for human rights and freedom of expression has been silenced forever.

The country and the nation will never forget the services of IA Rehman. The PPP leadership and activists share in the grief of IA Rehman’s family. Asif Ali Zardari prayed for grant of eternal peace to the departed soul and strength and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
