PPP leaders visit Palestinian Embassy to express solidarity with Palestinian government and people
Islamabad: On the instruction of Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari the PPP Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf arrived at the Palestinian Embassy in Islamabad to express solidarity with the Palestinians against Israeli barbarism.
Nayyar Bukhari and Raja Pervez Ashraf in a meeting with the Palestinian Ambassador expressed PPP’s full support and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
They said that the PPP and the Pakistani people stand with Palestine in this hour of need. The international community must mobilize to stop Israeli barbarism and violence against unarmed Palestinians. International human rights organizations should increase pressure to stop Israeli atrocities. Nayyar Bukhari said that the international community’s silence on the ongoing atrocities is worrying. Violence against Palestinians should be stopped immediately, Nayyar Bukhari said, adding that the PPP leadership has always condemned Israel for its illegal occupation of Palestine.
Nayyar Bukhari said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto raised the issue of Palestine in the United Nations for the first time. Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and President Asif Ali Zardari also expressed their support for the solution of the Palestinian issue. Nayyar Bukhari added that the PPP will raise the issue of Palestine at every international forum under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the PPP stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Palestine and will continue to highlight the issue of Palestine through diplomatic means and PPP will raise the issue of ongoing Israeli atrocities in Palestine in the Parliament.
