Chinese envoy meets NAB chief, matters of mutual interest discussed

Islamabad: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong called on National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice Javed Iqbal (retd) at NAB headquarters and discussed matters of mutual interest on Monday.

He was accompanied by Director of Political Section Wang Shengji, said an official statement.

The chairman apprised them about NAB’s ‘Accountability for All’ policy aiming to eradicate corruption from Pakistan.

The envoy appreciated NAB’s efforts and both sides reiterated cooperation in all areas to eradicate the menace of corruption.

The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere. The dignitaries discussed issues related to mutual legal aid, United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and training-based assistance for capacity building.
