PPP says PM promoting corruption
Islamabad: Secretary Information Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians, Shazia Atta Marri addressed a press conference in Islamabad on Tuesday with the PPP Information Secretary, Faisal Karim Kundi and said that the most corrupt person in the country is the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Shazia Marri said that the budget is being presented in National Assembly on June 11. There is no growth rate but the government is boasting 4 per cent growth rate which is totally wrong. The government is in a dilemma. Prices of petroleum products are rising.
Shazia Marri said that the government is presenting a budget prepared and approved by the IMF. This budget is prepared in closed rooms. Inflation and corruption have increased in the country. The Prime Minister is the most corrupt person in the country who gives relief and clean chit to his friends and cronies in their corruption cases. The Prime Minister is constantly borrowing from the IMF and the constitution is being violated. The PPP will discuss the budget in detail tomorrow and will make recommendations to the government on behalf of the people.
Shazia Marri said that no one knows that what the growth rate of the country is but the financial experts are saying that it is way less than 4 per cent which the government is claiming. Inflation and unemployment are on the rise in the country. Circular debt will increase further. We asked the government to bring the IMF deal to the Parliament. Imran Khan should tell how much a Pakistani child is in debt today. According to several sources every Pakistani child is in 1, 75, 000 rupees in debt. Imran Khan is today’s most corrupt man in the country. Transparency International says that the corruption in Imran Khan’s government is increasing. The PPP will discuss budget tomorrow with all relevant documents. We will give proposal on budget on behalf of the people of Pakistan to the government as well, Shazia Marri said.
Faisal Karim Kundi said that Inflation is rising in the country. Clean chit is being given to the perpetrators of corruption. PPP rejects the Foreign Office briefing on Afghanistan. Terrorism in the country is a gift from dictators. The law and order situation in FATA is deteriorating. Sindh is not being given its due share of water. Tobacco is a crop of KP but the taxes are collected by the federal government. The government has appointed Tariq Malik as Chairman NADRA because he was a good officer of the PPP team.
Why the prices of groceries have not come down despite bumper crops in the country, Kundi asked. There are numerous corruption scandals of this government and the most recent is the Ring Road corruption scandal. He said that there is no legal status of the committee formed for the inquiry of Jahangir Tareen.
