PPP accuses PM of taking U-turn on attitude
Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central women leaders have said that the Prime Minister took a u-turn in his Assembly speech and spoke in a polite manner.
They said Prime Minister had announced to protest on Friday. Where are the protests taking place today, they asked. The price of everything including petrol and LNG has gone up. There is shortage of electricity in the country and load shedding is on the rise.
PPP Deputy Central Secretary Information, Senator Palwasha Khan, Senator Rubina Khalid and MNA Naz Baloch expressed their views in a joint press conference. Chief Media Coordinator of the party Nazir Dhoki was also present on the occasion.
Palwasha Khan said that the Prime Minister has called for electoral reforms and issued a decision on electronic voting machines. She said that a detailed briefing was given on the situation on the borders yesterday and the Prime Minister was absent. There is a storm of inflation in the country. She said that we will not allow the government to roll back nuclear programme and will not allow any deal on Kashmir.Palwasha Khan said that in 22 years PTI did not field even 22 candidates in Kashmir. Senator Palwasha said that an adviser has given notice to the Chairman PPP on his visit to Israel but he had to give a notice to Israeli newspaper. She said that all the credit of the National Security Committee belongs to the Pakistan Army. What does the Prime Minister try to avoid by not attending that meeting? All except the Prime Minister are united on national security.
Senator Rubina Khalid said that the government is trying to steal the elections in Kashmir. We will not allow to hijack Kashmir elections like the 2018 elections. The Gilgit-Baltistan election has also been robbed. We are not going to be bullied in Kashmir. We will fight till the last moment.
MNA Naz Baloch also said that there was a contradiction in the words and deeds of the government. The government should have made the Kashmir elections an example of free and fair elections. The government has appointed a minister as its campaign manager. Naz Baloch said that everyone was present at the important meeting on national security but the Prime Minister was not present. This is not the first time he is always absent from important meetings.
