No power on earth can divide Pakistan and China: Information Minister
Jhelum: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that no power on earth can divide Pakistan and China.
He said some elements had been trying to create hurdles in the smooth implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) but they badly failed.
“China has announced to speed up work on Dasu dam,” he said while speaking to journalists here.
Fawad Chaudhry said Pakistan was grateful to the Chinese government and people for their support in every possible way.
He said that investigation into the Dasu incident has entered its second phase. “The forces wanting to thwart the CPEC were behind the Dasu incident,” the minister added.
On July 14, at least 13 people – nine Chinese nationals and four Pakistanis – were killed and more than two dozen others wounded when a shuttle bus they were travelling in plunged into a deep ravine after an explosion on board.
The bus was ferrying the Chinese and Pakistani workers to an under-construction tunnel site of the Dasu Hydropower Project in the remote Kohistan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.
