Islamabad: Ambassador of China to Pakistan Nong Rong has said that the security of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects would be strengthened in a comprehensive way.

“Committed to developing CPEC cooperation and strengthening security in a comprehensive way,” he tweeted after a meeting with CPEC Authority chief Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa (retd).

The envoy said Pakistan and China were committed to develop the mega project of the CPEC by ensuring cooperation and strengthening security in a comprehensive way.

He said it was agreed during the meeting that China Pakistan relationship had stood the test of time, and would not waver to any challenges.

The meeting followed a sitting between Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in China.

The top diplomats, among other matters, discussed the Dasu bus tragedy in which nine Chinese nationals died on July 14.

The FMs vowed to punish the culprits behind the attack and agreed to carry the CPEC projects forward under a strong partnership.
