Chinese companies’ investment boosting trust level: Deputy Chairman Senate

Islamabad: Investment of Chinese companies in Pakistan is boosting the trust level of the business communities on in both Pakistan and China, Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi said.

He said the investment by the Chinese companies reflects the level of mutual confidence between the business communities of the two friendly countries.

Addressing a high-level investment conference via virtual link, he said Pakistan greatly valued its relations with China.

“Pakistan ad China’s strong bilateral relations have transformed into a strategic partnership,” he added.

Pakistan, he said, greatly valued its ties with Iron Brother China. “The CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) related projects will further strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries,” Afridi maintained.

He said the mega project can change the destiny of the region and there were vast investment opportunities in CPEC projects.

He termed people-to-people connectivity pivotal to Pakistan-China relations. Afridi said CPEC was the flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and this corridor had helped Pakistani people build infrastructure and meet energy needs.
