A constable on street is an icon of state and symbol of rule of law: Rehman Malik
Islamabad: former Interior Minister Senator Rehman Malik had paid glowing homage to martyrs on Police Martyrs’ Day. He said that a constable standing on the street is an icon of state and symbol of strength and rule of law.
He said that the police force is our main dependence to bring the rule of law in the country. He said that various governments have been claiming about police reforms but it negates when one sees the police constable in uniform on duty who is still underpaid and is unable to meet his expenses and educate his children with the present pay. He said that grooming and raising a constable and ensuring his respect and power will set us to become a nation to respect the rule of law which will be ensured by the same constable.
The former interior minister said that he salutes the police martyrs and their brave families on the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day adding that martyrs are the heroes and pride of the nation whose sacrifices will always be remembered forever. He said that defeat is the fate of terrorists, brutal killers, and criminal elements. He said that today is the day to express our hate for terrorists and criminals and show our love for our police. He said that the best tribute to martyrs is to take care of by their families.
