Shehbaz Sharif resolves to take public rally towards Islamabad against inflation
Karachi: PML-N president and Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his resolve to take the public rally towards Islamabad against inflation.
Addressed a public gathering of the anti-government alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in Karachi, the PML-N president said that the corrupt government will be buried politically under the leadership of PDM head Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
“The public rally against inflation has to be taken to Islamabad. If Allah Almighty gives us a chance, we will end inflation,” Shehbaz Sharif maintained, He also said that Imran Khan had announced packages worth billions of rupees but had not released funds till date.
The opposition leader said that the premier made false promises to the people of Sindh and gave nothing to Karachi. “Water problem in Karachi is not being resolved. Before the PML-N era, there was unrest in Karachi. The business community wanted to leave the metropolis but we eliminated extortion and culture of sacked bodies from the city.”
Counting the key achievements of the PML-N in Punjab, the party president mentioned that medicines were available free of cost in the hospitals and the children were provided laptops and scholarships as well as 11,000MW power projects were implemented during PML-N era.
He also criticized the prime minister and accused him of lying. “Imran Khan used to say that if the dollar is expensive and inflation rises then the premier is corrupt. Inflation is on the peak in the country today,” he added.
The PML-N president further said that Imran Khan sits in Bani Gala and talks about the ‘state of Madinah’. “He is misleading the nation and he use to go his office by helicopter every day.”
