PPP opposes reappointment of NAB chief
Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari has opposed re-appointment of Justice Javed Iqbal as Chairman NAB and asked the government that is there no any qualified person in the Pakistan who become the Chairman NAB that government wants to re-appoint Justice Javed Iqbal again on the post of Chairman NAB. If the ordinance regarding electronic voting machines would be brought than it will be rejected by us in the Senate.
If the government wants to reinstate the fired government employee then new legislation could be enacted in this regard. He said that dialogue would not be taken place with this government untill they improve theirs attitude towards us. PTI government should immediately withdraw the increase in the prices of petroleum products.
This he said in a joint press conference with Central Information Secretary PPP-P Shazia Atta Marri hereon today. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Nayyar Bukhari said that the government is not serious regarding to reinstate the fired federal employees and further prices of petrol has been increased. Chairman NAB’s term will be expired on October 8 and PPP has rejected electronic voting machines because the internet is being tampered with every day in Pakistan and the FBR system has also been attacked by hackers.
They said that the situation in the Pakistan has been worsen day by day because of bad policies of government. Afghanistan exchange rate of dollar is better than our country. PPP observed protests against the inflation and during the time of Ayub Khan, when sugar became expensive people came out on roads.
The prices of per liter petrol has been increased from Rs 8 to Rs 9 in a month and Kerosene oil also made expensive which is commonly used by the people. He said that due to increase in petrol prices it would make everything more expensive The PPP had given relief to the employees by enacting legislation and had reinstated the government employees through the Act of Parliament Employees. While talking to media Shazia Marri said that PPP has rejected the recent price hike of petroleum products and government should be withdrawn immediately from this anti-people decision so that people would be given relief. Prime Minister Imran Khan only sits in the National Assembly and vituperate the opposition parties. PPP is standing with the sacked employees who were fired from different federal government’s departments and these dismissed employees should not be fired until the decision of review appeal comes. She further said that PTI-led government did fake promise of providing employments but depriving people of their jobs when the inflation rate is higher in the country.
The government of Imran Khan wants to bring the Electronic voting machine law under a deliberate planning. They are trying to impose a decision without consultation with other political parties in the country and we have already rejected the use of electronic voting machine during general elections.
