Iranian Parliamentary delegation arrives in Pakistan
Islamabad: Members of the parliamentary friendship group of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan in the Islamic Consultative Assembly headed by Ahmad Amirabadi Farahani arrived in Islamabad early Monday.
The Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Group is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of the head of the Pakistan-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group in Pakistani Parliament.
Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, and Sardar Nasrullah Khan Darshak, Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan, received the Chairman and members of the Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Group at Islamabad International Airport.
During the visit, the representatives of Iranian delegation are scheduled to meet with the Speaker of National Assembly, Chairman Senate, members of friendship groups in the parliament of Pakistan, as well as some government officials.
The delegation of the Parliamentary Friendship Group between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan is also scheduled to visit the southern Pakistani city of Karachi to meet with state and parliamentary government officials.
This is the second visit of the delegation from the Islamic Consultative Assembly to Pakistan in the last two years. In June 2019, Iranian parliamentary delegation met with senior parliamentary and government officials in the neighboring country during a trip to Islamabad, Karachi.
