PM should apologise to the nation: PPP
Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central leaders have demanded that the Prime Minister should apologize for calling the Pakhtun nation terrorist.
The government has destroyed all institutions. Now, an institution like the army should not be made controversial.
These views were expressed by PPP Central Secretary Information Faisal Karim Kundi, former member National Assembly Akhwanzada Chitan, Senator Rubina Khalid, Syed Sibtul Hassan Bukhari in a joint press conference. They were accompanied by PPP Media Coordinator Nazir Dhoki and Raja Noor Elahi.
Faisal Karim Kundi said that the nation was saddened by the demise of Dr Qadeer Khan. Pakistan lost a great personality with the demise of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan. The government did not fulfil the will of Dr. Qadeer for burial in Faisal Mosque. The government did not honour Dr. Qadeer Khan.
He said that the appointment of DG ISI has been made controversial by the selected Prime Minister. The government has given an opportunity to the media of the enemy country to criticize our forces. “I want to tell Imran Khan that the former tribal areas had guarded the borders for 60 years” Kundi said. The party condemns Imran Khan’s declaration of the Pashtun nation as terrorists. Imran Khan should apologize to the nation for declaring Pashtuns as terrorists. Faisal Karim Kundi said that the details of the gifts in the treasury should be brought before the nation. Opposition parties should unite and get rid of this selected and puppet government by bringing a no-confidence motion in Punjab and the Centre. He said that inflation has made life miserable for the people against which PPP is protesting all over the country. The government is playing with the future of young doctors. He also condemned the police brutality at the press conference of eunuchs.
Akhunzada Chitan said that the Taliban’s statement was about Islam, jihad and caliphate. The Taliban never spoke of Pakhtuns or nationalism. The Taliban was based in Kandahar where they fought Pakhtun leaders. Asfandyar Wali, Mahmood Achakzai, Manzoor Pushtin, Aftab Sherpao have never supported the Taliban. He said that before the jihadi culture was introduced, there was no such thing as crime in the entire tribal districts.
