Railways and road projects under CPEC will open doors for national and regional prosperity: Pakistani Minister
Mansehra: Federal Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati has said that railways and road projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would be completed soon to open doors for national and regional prosperity.
Addressing a public gathering here, he mentioned that Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was specially focused on the development of infrastructure, health and education sectors particularly in the far-flung areas of the province.
“In order to develop the Mansehra district we are going to update Hazara University, providing autonomous status to Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) and would also establish Siran Development Authority,” he remarked.
Azam Khan pledged that Malakand to Dargai railway project would be completed within three months while Karakoram Highway (KKH) in Hazara under the CPEC.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Communication and Postal Services Murad Saeed said that despite the coronavirus outbreak the government was working on poverty alleviation and facilitating the masses through various programmes.
The minister stated that in this regard Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced a historical relief package for the poor segments of the society where millions of the people would be benefited by getting 30 percent price reduction in essential commodities.
In his speech, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Omer Ayub underscored that under the active leadership of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan Khyber Palhtunkhaw was marching towards progress.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan and the team established the economy and now the economic indicators are showing good progress. CPEC is playing a key role to develop our country,” he maintained.
