Photo exhibition on life of Quaid-e-Azam opens at Pakistan-China Friendship Center

Islamabad: A photo exhibition on the life of Pakistan’s founder Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was inaugurated at the Pakistan-China Friendship Center here.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry opened the exhibition. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Fawad Chaudhry contended that Quaid-e-Azam was clear in his message and getting his message to the common man was the biggest battle.

Terming the photo exhibition on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s birth anniversary a welcome step, he stated: “We have to start a movement to convey the message of Quaid-e-Azam to the common man.”

He noted that this year Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday was celebrated (on December 25) in a befitting manner as fireworks were set off in Islamabad, a party of colors and light was held and for this “I congratulate all the organizers.”

The minister stressed that it was the vision of Quaid-e-Azam and national poet Allama Mohammed Iqbal to establish an Islamic welfare state where Muslims and minorities could live freely and peacefully irrespective of their caste and creed.

The minister pledged that Prime Minister Imran Khan wanted to transform Pakistan into a state as was envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The minister said Quaid-e-Azam made clear his vision of Pakistan in his three major speeches – one in the Constituent Assembly, his addresses to the Army officers and the bureaucracy.

He maintained that both Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal were modern, progressive and visionary leaders who realised in advance what would happen to Muslims and other minorities in the future.

Secretary Information and Broadcasting Shahera Shahid and senior officers of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and attached departments were also present on the occasion. The exhibition, which will continue for some days, is showcasing the life of the Quaid-e-Azam and key moments of his life in pictures.
