Hike in petroleum prices a new year “gift” by govt: Bilawal Bhutto
Islamabad: Chairman Pakistan Peoples’sParty (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the increase in the prices of petroleum products is Imran Khan’s New Year’s gift to the people.
According to a statement, the PPP chairman further stated that Imran Khan had made tall claims saying that 2021 would be a year of prosperity. He asked, now 2022 has come, where is the prosperity?
He said that every year, the Naya Pakistan becomes more expensive than the previous year. Yet, Imran Khan calls the previous government’s incompetent. He further said that during Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) era, there was a global economic crisis but we did not allow the people to bear the burden of inflation.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari demanded that the federal government immediately reduce the prices of petroleum products in line with world market prices. He also said that the only solution to get rid of inflation was to overthrow Imran Khan’s government.
