Islamabad: Central Information Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians and member of the National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri has said that yesterday’s incident outside of Chief Minister House was regrettable.

This she said in a tweet posted on her Twitter account. Shazia Marri stated that holding a peaceful protest is everyone’s constitutional and democratic right and the PPP had always exercised its democratic right of protest and continues to do so.

Marri added that the PPP had faced atrocities at the hands of state institutions but never violated the law and Constitution of the state. Instead of disrupting Karachi’s peace once again, entering into meaningful dialogue would be a better option, she said.
