Govt paying special attention to CPEC projects: Asad Umar
ISLAMABAD, February 16: Pakistani Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has said that the government was paying special attention to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
In an interview with a Pakistani television channel, he maintained that the Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI)-led government was spending a huge amount for uplifting of neglected areas.
“We have promoted public-private partnership programs to achieve speedy progress in different sectors,” he claimed.
The incumbent government, he added, had approved different schemes of Pakistani Rs 500 billion under public-private partnership program. “The PSDP (Public Sector Development Projects) funds amounting to (Pakistani) Rs 670 billion have also been utilized for public welfare projects,” Umar mentioned.
The Minister contended that CPEC was among the top priorities of the government and all CPEC projects will be completed on time.
