Drone camera hits Aseefa Bhutto during PPP jalsa in Khanewal
Khanewal: An incident occurred during PPP’s jalsa when a drone hit Aseefa Bhutto Zardari in the face while she was standing on a container.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took his sister inside the container after the incident where she was given medical treatment.
The initial reports said that the drone operator has been caught by Bilawal Bhutto’s security team.
The protest, aimed to oust the PTI government and Prime Minister Imran Khan, started in Karachi. It is being led by PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Aseefa Bhutto has been shifted to Bilawal House Multan where a team of doctors and specialists will examine her.
Following the incident, a police investigation found that the drone camera was being operated from a private channel’s DSNG van.
Police said that except for two people, the rest of the staff of the TV channel had been taken into custody.
Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s security team has taken the drone operator and the engineer with them, police said.
PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz took notice of the incident and inquired Aseefa Bhutto about her health. “Hope you are not hurt,” she wrote on Twitter.
Aseefa Bhutto sustained an injury just above her right eye and was suggested being shifted to Multan for treatment.
Later, while addressing the participants of the march, Bilawal Bhutto confirmed that his sister was wounded after being hit by the drone.
The paramedic staff available at the venue suggested that she needed stitches but Aseefa refused to be taken to the hospital and asked the ambulance staff to treat her with a bandage only.
