Senior Pakistani govt aides discuss CPEC projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhaw
Peshawar: Special Assistant to Khyber Pakhtunkhaw Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Industries and Investment Abdul Karim Tordher held a zoom meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s aide on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Khalid Mansoor to discuss the ongoing CPEC projects in the province.
The two senior government officials agreed that the work on CPEC projects needed to be expedited.
They vowed to streamline and speed up developmental work on Chinese investment in the Rashakai Special Economic Zone (SEZ), said an official statement.
Abdul Karim Tordher later visited Head Office of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KP-EZDMC) and inaugurated Overseas Investment Desk (OID).
Javed Iqbal Khattak, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) KP-EZDMC and Adil Salahuddin Chief Operating Officer (CCO) were also present on the occasion.
Speaking to the audience, Abdul Karim Tordher maintained that the prime objective of the overseas investment desk was to extend prompt response to the overseas Pakistanis and foreign investors who were interested and setting up projects and bringing investment to KP.
He contended that the provincial government was extending full support and cooperation all the way till completion of the project.
Tordher mentioned that the top priority of the provincial government was to attract foreign investment in the industrial sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
While keeping its commitment towards improving the industrial infrastructure of the zone, the Chief Minister’s aide appreciated the role of KP-EZDMC towards the industrialization agenda of the KP government.
He also chaired a presentation meeting regarding allotment of plots and modernization of the economic zone. He lauded the work and efficiency of KPEZDMC in different economic zones of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Abdul Karim Tordher also inaugurated new industrial units HiTec packages and CREATIVE packages and printers at Hayatabad Industrial Estate.
