Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Friday said time had come for Prime Minister Imran Khan to be held accountable.

“By delaying the no-confidence motion, he is calling someone else, instead of the masses. He is begging to remain in power. Now, nobody will come to protect Imran Khan,” Maryam Nawaz said talking to media in Lahore.

She said Imran Khan was sitting on the seat, but the entire party had deserted him. One by one, they had abandoned him, she maintained.

On the ruling party chairman’s contacting allied parties, the PML-N vice president said earlier, he used to consider it a sin to shake hands with allies, now he was going to their homes.

She said people would touch their ears, when they would hear about Imran Khan’s corruption.

She asked the PML-N activists to get ready and “fasten your seatbelts. The aeroplane of Pakistan is going to land in the old Pakistan anytime soon.”

“You levelled big allegations of corruption and robbery on people. Now it is not the fear of losing the power, rather you are feared of your embezzlement. Your government has not yet gone, but it is going to go. Your power has not been ended by global conspiracy or the opposition, instead it has been ended because of curses of people,” she said. Maryam Nawaz said Imran Khan had become a victim of his own karma.
