Bilawal Bhutto asks Imran Khan to show sportsman spirit

Parachinar: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on Saturday asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to show sportsman spirit after the national assembly (NA) speaker on Friday had adjourned the session without voting on the no-confidence motion.

While addressing a public gathering in Parachinar, he said the politics of Imran Khan is contingent on vile language and magic, adding that the government officials have resorted to vile language after knowing that they are losing.

He said Imran Khan is running away like a coward ever since the opposition has submitted a no-confidence motion against him.

He added that Imran Khan used to challenge them to bring a no-confidence motion. “Show some sportsman spirit now,” Bilawal asked the prime minister.

“The time has now come to topple the government,” he added and claimed that Imran Khan has already lost. “The opposition has shown its strength in the parliament.”

The PPP chairman also challenged the prime minister to amass 172 members in the NA

He added that Imran Khan first criticized neutrality (in political situation) and now he is seeking an apology for it. “He (Imran Khan) is now seeking extension till his public gathering on March 27,” Bilawal added.

He said there were no ‘facilitators’ now and Imran would remember what people would do with him. “You will now know what the opposition and NAB is,” Bilawal expressed.

He said the people rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in all by-elections, while the government was also defeated in the Senate election.

Bilawal said the government has always introduced a ‘vicious’ budget in which even infant milk was taxed.

Criticising the government, the PPP chairman said Imran Khan did not fulfil a single promise.

He said PPP has resisted against the government for the past three years, adding that the people are drowning in the tsunami of inflation. He asked the government where 10 million jobs were, which it had promised.

Bilawal said Imran resorted to International Monetary Fund (IMF) despite opposing it before assuming power. He claimed that the government dealt with the global lender against the interest of the Pakistani people.

He accused the government of implementing an economic policy that benefits the rich through amensty schemes.

Bilawal urged the masses to vote for PPP in the second phase of the local government (LG) elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
