Bakhtawar Bhutto censures Imran Khan for “unconstitutional” moves
Islamabad: Pakistan People’s Party leader Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari has censured Prime Minister Imran Khan over his “unconstitutional” moves.
President Dr Arif Alvi dissolved the National Assembly on the advice of Prime Minister Imran Khan as the PTI government evaded the no-confidence motion against the premier on Sunday.
Taking to Twitter, Bakhtawar Bhutto, who is the sister of PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, said that Prime Minister Imran Khan “never cared about democracy,” citing his absence in Parliament in most of the sessions.
She likened PM Imran Khan’s cabinet to that of former president Pervez Musharraf’s and called the premier a “puppet” who “escaped accountability and ruled without mandate.
Bakhtawar, continuing her criticism of the prime minister, said: “(PM Imran Khan) committed treason and known as the idiot who subverted constitution in the trash bin of history.”
Following the “surprise” by the PTI-led government, the Opposition parties leaders rejected the move, intending to challenge the matter in the Supreme Court.
Sharing his take on the situation, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that the joint Opposition has complete numbers not only that they had the majority.
“The ruling given by the deputy speaker is “unconstitutional” and has manipulated the laws of the Constitution,” he said.
