Pakistan to improve coordination with China on CPEC: Planning Minister
Islamabad: Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan would inform China about moving forward the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and improve the coordination with China in this regard.
He contended that no one will be allowed to create said the enemies of the country wanted to problems in the way of successful completion of game changer CPEC.
“Pakistan would make ensure to provide complete security to the CPEC project,”he maintained in a statement.
He said the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz)’s last government had identified nine Special Economic Zines under the CPEC.
Iqbal regretted the slow pace of work on the CPEC projects. He highlighted that the progress on Main Line 1 (ML-1) project was very slow.
The minister mentioned that the Islamabad Metro Bus project was started with worth of US $16 billion during previous government of the PML-N but in the last four years, there was no progress due to Pakistani authorities’ go slow policy.
About Balochistan, he underscored that peace and development were linked with each other and the incumbent government would open new ways of development in the province and uplift living standards of those people who were living their lives below the poverty line through the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
