VMS to be installed on CPEC motorway
Dera Ismail Khan: Pakistani National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has announced that they had started work to install ‘Variable Message Screening (VMS)’ system on newly constructed Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway, popularly known as M-14, under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Sector Commander Motorway Police, Atiqur Rehman made the announcement here and said that VMS would be installed on Hakla, Daud Khel, Isa Khel and Yark entry points in first phase.
“The installation of VMS is aimed to inform travelers about road conditions and safety. The new messaging system would also ensure road safety and save drivers from fine,” he maintained.
Rehman mentioned that the NH&MP was striving for facilitation of travelers and to provide them needed assistance and orientation while travelling on motorway.
