ECP postponed Sindh LG polls: Shazia Marri

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Central Information Secretary PPP-P Shazia Atta Marri while holding Thursday a joint presser along with PPP Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad said that the Election Commission of Pakistan has announced to postpone the second phase of the local bodies elections in Sindh province.

She said Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s leaders had started abusive and dirty propaganda against Sindh government after this announcement of ECP regarding rescheduling of local bodies polls which is highly condemnable and regrettable act.

She claimed that Sindh government didn’t submit any request to the Election Commission of Pakistan for delaying the local bodies elections in the province. Ms Marri said that Karachi has received record moonson rains recently and despite of this fact, Sindh government took effective measures timely to drain out rain water and cleared the entire Karachi city. While criticizing on PTI chief Imran Khan, she said that when Imran Khan’s mind didn’t work or he gets any cheap drugs or he doesn’t get drugs on times, then he starts levelling the baseless allegations on former President Asif Ali Zardari. There is a political upheavaling continues in Punjab in which PPP has no involvement in it, but since former President Asif Ali Zardari is on the visit of Lahore so it has made PTI leadership worried and confused. Shazia Marri said that no candidate of Pakistan People’s Party was participating in the election in Punjab and the children of Imran Khan’s are not Pakistani while he is calling us imported adding that a person like Imran Niazi who does not have responsibility of his own children is giving us the lectures. She regretted that former Prime Minister Imran Khan is trying to divide the nation by using false religious card and he wants to spread chaos in the country while such religious cards had also been used in the past. She added the entire life of Imran Khan is a reflection of his character and the book that was written on his life is not worth reading. She said that PTI did not field their candidates in most of the constituencies during the local bodies elections in Sindh province. “If a person joins Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, it is considered as halal act and if someone joins another political party then they (PTI) claimed it as haraam act”, she added. While criticizing the PTI, she vehemently said whenever PTI win the elections then they claim everything is right and PTI often levels baseless accusations of rigging in case of losing the election. She criticizingly uttered that Imran Khan termed traitor those who so ever talk about corruption scandals of Farah Goggi and Bushra Bibi while they were involved in corruption scandals of worth billions of rupees during the PTI regime. Imran Khan used to say that he was fully prepared and he had a team of experts but the country’s economy was sunk during his rule. She said that Imran Khan’s income increased to 500 times after becoming the Prime Minister of the country. “Shaikh Rasheed’s an audio is leaked in which he is asking about payment to Sharqpuri and now, he is shamefully terming it that it was merely a joke”, she added.

On this occasion, PPP leader, Faisal Karim Kundi while taking to media said that few members of PTI are claiming that the PTI members are given 25 crores rupees to change their loyalties while others members claimed that 40 crores rupees being given them to leave the party. He surprisingly asked that why only PTI members are sold to change their loyalties and said that Imran Khan was calling Usman Buzdar as biggest dacoit of Punjab and later, he made him the chief minister of Punjab. Faisal Karim Kundi further said that the daughter of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Asifa Bhutto Zardari started campaign for local bodies elections in Hyderabad likewise Imran Khan should also send his daughter for the election campaign and we assure him that Sindh government will provide full security to Imran Khan’s daughter. He said that after winning the by-election, the concept of Mr. X &Y is overed and he allegedly said that PTI members were on tour and they were enjoying their trip during the heavy flood in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He added that democracy will win tomorrow and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif will be the chief minister of Punjab.
