CPEC’s Gwadar Port playing a great role in Pakistan’s development: Maritime Affairs Minister
Karachi: Minister of Maritime Affairs Faisal Sabzwari has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)’s Gwadar Port was playing a great role in Pakistan’s development.
Speaking at a news conference here, the minister remarked that the Gwadar Port was a special project of CPEC which will bring the region together.
He said that the ministry of maritime affairs had been contributing a significant share in the country’s taxes.
“Our port is playing an important role in the development of the country. We have made coordinated policy, he said, telling that the profit from ports will double next year,” he contended.
Sabzwari mentioned that the new Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) terminal will be functional soon.
He underscored that the revolutionary measures were being taken for the development of Gwadar port.
“Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has special interest in the development of Gwadar,” Sabzwari maintained.
