75th anniversary of Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrated across globe

Islamabad: Embassies and foreign missions of Pakistan on Sunday celebrated the 75th anniversary of Pakistan Independence Day across the world with the renewed pledge of its political leadership to transform the country into a modern, democratic, welfare and prosperous country.

In these ceremonies, special messages from the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on the 75th Anniversary of independence were read out to the audiences.

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence, a ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Tokyo. Charge d’ Affaires Ismat Hassan Sial, hoisted the national flag while the audience sang the National anthem of Pakistan.

A large number of Pakistanis as well as Japanese from all walks of life attended the ceremony.

IIn her remarks, she said 14th August 1947, signified the emergence of an independent ideological state under the indomitable leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali JiInnah who believed in following the principles of democracy, peace and friendship with all the nations of the world.

The Charge d’ Affaires also underscored that this year’s Independence Day carried immense significance as the whole nation stood resolved to staunchly oppose the recent illegal acts of Indian Government to alter the status of internationally recognized disputed Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

High Commission for Pakistan, New Delhi celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the Independence of Pakistan with patriotic zeal and fervor.

Aftab Hasan Khan, Chargé d’Affaires, raised Pakistan’s flag to the tune of the national anthem at an elegant flag-hoisting ceremony held at the Chancery’s lawns. Officers and staff of the High Commission, along with their families, were present on this auspicious occasion.

Subsequently, in his remarks , Aftab Hasan Khan, Chargé d’Affaires, congratulated Pakistani nationals on the auspicious occasion.

The Chargé d’Affaires paid homage to the father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and other great leaders of the freedom movement who had led a historic struggle for the establishment of an independent state for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.

He highlighted that, today, Pakistan was a proud nation on the path of development and prosperity. It has a vibrant and dynamic population which is playing a pivotal role in the country’s progress. . The last 75 years are a testimony to the fact that Pakistan has achieved tremendous progress and success in all spheres of life even in the face of grave challenges.

Pakistan would continue to play its responsible role for peace, stability and development in the region and the world, he added.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow hosted an event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence of Pakistan.

The ceremony started with the recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a flag hoisting ceremony. The messages of the President and the Prime Minister were read out by Deputy Head of Mission Summar Javed and Third Secretary Muhammad Tayyab.

A string quartet of students from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory performed classical adaptations of Pakistani songs ‘Jeevay Jeevay’, ‘Sohni Dharti’ and ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’.

Joshua Edwin Arthur, a language trainee, also sang Pakistani national songs to the accompaniment of the guitar.

The performers were warmly welcomed by the audience, which included the members of the Pakistani community in Russia, diplomats and employees of the Embassy, as well as Russian friends of Pakistan.

To commemorate 75 years of Pakistan’s Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in China which was attended by a large number of audience.
