Legendary agent praises Milan for having ‘the best scouting sector in Italy’

Milan: AC Milan have made several impressive signings over the last few years and a lot of that is down to their extensive scouting network. Led by Geoffrey Moncada, the Rossoneri have received a lot of praise.

The latest person to praise Milan’s scouting department is the agent Dario Canovi, speaking in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb. He’s considered the first sports agent in Italy and certainly knows what he’s talking about.

“Milan undoubtedly have the best scouting sector in Italy and the interest in Angelo Gabriel stems from the intelligent policy on young players. The only choice they are yet to fully exploit is signing De Ketelaere.

“Tonali, on the other hand, is becoming the classic flagship player who will remain at Milan. We must not forget that in order to remain at the club, he halved his salary,” He said as cited by Radio Rossonera.

There are plenty of examples in Milan’s squad but another notable one is Pierre Kalulu, who arrived for a mere €500k from Lyon back in 2020. He’s now considered one of the best centre-backs in Serie A and his value has increased a lot.

Milan, as such, can be very happy with the outcome of their scouting and it’s certainly an important part of making football sustainable. A project that Elliott started five years ago but a path that Gerry Cardinale and RedBird are just as passionate about.
