Peshawar University’s China Study Centre team visits CPEC’s Rashakai Special Economic Zone
Peshawar: Pro Vice Chancellor Peshawar University’s China Study Centre (CSC) Professor Dr Zahid Anwar along with students and members from Pakistan China Friendship Association visited China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC)’s Rashakai Special Economic Zone as a part of study tour/site visit.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development & Management Company (KP-EZDMC), Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) KP-EZDMC and China Road & Bridge Corporation (CRBC) officials along with team welcomed the guests and briefed them through a detailed presentation followed by site visit to the zone.
Rashakai Special Economic Zone is located at Rashakai, District Nowshera along the M-1 (Peshawar – Islamabad) Motorway and the most attractive economic zone for local and multi-national companies because of easy access and its proximity to CPEC.
This SEZ is proposed to spread over an area of more than 1000 Acres, which will provide opportunities to the Companies to set-up their industrial / manufacturing units.
Different types of industrial units will be established in the SEZ including electronics and electrical appliances, automobiles and mechanical equipment, general merchandising and sports goods, home building materials, garments and textile products etc.
Similarly Special Economic Zones at other locations of the province including development of Hattar SEZ also proposed over an area of more than 424 Acres land where different industrial units will be established.
Pro Vice Chancellor and members of Pakistan China friendship Association appreciated the efforts of KP-EZDMC made for industrialization in the province and for fast track developments in the zone.
