New liaison office of PSQCA inaugurated in Gwadar

Gawadar: The new liaison office of Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) was inaugurated here in Gwadar Balochistan.

The Director General, PSQCA Zainul Abedin inaugurated the new office. He told journalists that cross border trade was important for economic development and PSQCA shall open more cross border offices in future in the province.

This will bring in new opportunities, concessions, posts and infrastructure in Balochistan, he added.

The decision of opening liaison office in Gwadar has been taken during the 24th Board of Directors meeting of PSQCA.

Zainul Abedin mentioned that Agha Hassan Baloch, Federal Minister for Science and Technology “believes that development of cross border trade should be the priority as it will bring economic cooperation in the region. These ports can play an important role in developing trade and meeting the logistical and communication needs at the same time.”
